Hi there, I'm Karen, 45 from County Durham. For the last five years I have run a pet boarding and day care business with my husband. While I adore what we do and I'm so proud of our success, getting muddy and running after dogs is a far cry from what I used to do way way back in the day, and I miss it.
My passion is writing, from articles to Social Media content. I had my own column when I worked at The Northern Echo, and also did a little web design. I know my way around all Microsoft packages from my time as an admin assistant.
Living with a disability, and once being a Disability Equality Co Ordinator, I have a sound knowledge of Equality Law. And my time as a foster carer gave me a unique insight into the care system and the needs of young people, as well as a list of training courses as long as your arm.
I enjoy reading, travelling and socialising. But what I know and love most of all, is dogs!
